Howdy doody!
First a little about me, my name is Shane and I am 33. I live in Superior, WI. I enjoy working out, I hate my job (soon to land a new position, knock on wood) and in my spare time I like to tinker with electronics. OK seriously I am also a guy who loves the outdoors and really just spending time with family and friends. I like to keep things simple and as stress free as possible. Some would say I am a video/audio geek. I can't help it. I love my toys. I live with my wonderful girlfriend and we are renting right now and will hopefully have our first home within the year.
As the title says I am about to be a proud father of a new baby boy. Well I must say that I am a bit nervous right now as I am about to have a son on Monday around 8am. I am excited and ready as I ever will be I suppose. I have a wonderful girlfriend and we are both very excited and supportive of eachother. I will keep everyone updated with photos as soon as I am able to.

I'm almost 2 months pregnant and my boyfriend is so excited but so scared he won't be good enough.
And he thinks the name I chose if its a boy is extremely gay. But I don't like to talk about that.
The father of my child hasn't really done much for my son so I'm not sure what it's like to be a mom who has a dad who is excited. It's really too bad. I think it's great that you are excited yet nervous. Everybody normally is. It's a big change in your life but it's so worth it! Babies are a lot of work and will take time and patience but you will love every minute of it! I hope that everything works well for you. Don't worry, I'm sure you will be a great dad!

You will do just fine and yes your life will change dramatically but for the better. When you can wake every morning and see that smiling face looking at you, your heart will melt and you will feel so special. No worries just enjoy your new job as daddy!! Oh, and good luck with your new position at work too.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the replies. I want to let everybody know that I had my son and he is simply amazing! I am in the process of getting some photos together to upload them here so everyone can see him. He was born on March 3rd at 8:31am. He was a big boy as well, just like Daddy weighing in at 9lbs. 11.5 oz. and 23 inches long.
If you would have asked me a year ago about being a dad I would have probably chuckled. After a few days only with him I am in love and can not imagine life now without my little man. This has truly been a life changing ex[erience and knowing that I created this little guy is something hard to explain....

BY the way, his name is Kian Cael Comstock. Both Mommy and Daddy are Irish so we chose a very traditional first and middle name for him. It is pronounced "Key-an" and his middle name is easy pronounced "Kay-el"
Congratulations on your new addition - wow he's almost half grown isn't he - love the name you chose - very unique and it sounds very masculine as well. I totally relate to how you feel when you say that you can't imagine your life without him. Amazing how such a small and helpless individual can become the center of the universe isn't it. Enjoy - you will see life in a whole new way again - through their eyes!!! It's an incredible journey.
